Everything begun in the basement of Jakob Sigles’ shoemaker’s workshop in Kornwestheim. It was quite comfortable in the basement between large bales of leather. In return for this comfortable home Lurchi had to perch on the salamander company logo during the day. However, standing stiff as a stuffed salamander is far from being fun. Active Merchandising expand their licensing portfolio: As of now they hold the licensing rights to market “Peppa Pig” and “Tom & the Slice of Bread with Strawberry Jam & Honey” in German-speaking territories. The latest addition to Anita van Esch’s successful portfolio is the award-winning animated series “Peppa Pig” from the UK. In Germany, the show has been airing on KI.KA since October 2005.
