Disney presents their third Expo in Cologne

On 30 June 2010 Walt Disney Company Germany opened the doors of Cologne’s Cinedom for their Disney Expo 2010. The media and family entertainment group presented 700 attendees, partners and exhibitors with their entire range of products and licences as well as their new company structure for Disney in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Expo targeted cooperation and retail partners, licensees and retail partners. Countless presentations and product displays at almost 60 booths provided visitors with information on latest Disney products and franchises as well as an overview of all business activities and licensed Disney themes. Licensing International Expo 2010 Experiences 15 Percent Growth In Attendance As SHow Marks Second Year in Las Vegas
International Presence Increases By 14% As Major Exhibitors Renew for 2011

Licensing International Expo, the world’s premier marketplace for the $191 billion licensing industry, concluded on June 10 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center with an increased pre-registered attendance of 21,000 which is a rate of more than 15 percent over last year. International visitors from key countries, including Japan, France, Mexico, The UK, Russia, Spain, Singapore and China, also increased by more than 14% for the three day expo. “The 2010 show was our highest attended show in many years with our opening day receiving more visitors than the entire three days of last year’s show,” said Liz Crawford, show director with Advanstar Communications, show organizer, “We were thrilled with the quality of attendees, the quantity of key retailers and international visitors to the show. The Year 2010 – New licenses and classic brands for the German market

What does the upcoming year 2010 hold for licensing in Germany? Even though or just because Germany is still affected by global economic crises, the licensing market here remains stable.
